New grant - new man!

We're excitied to announce that the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation have awarded the LOHP a £60,000 grant over two years to employ a conservation manager. Rob Martyr has been appointed as our first ever member of staff and started work for us on the 19th of June. Rob will oversee day to day running of the project, which now manages 71 hectares of land for conservation and public access. His appointment will allow our trustees to spend more time developing the project and encouraging local involvement. The new grant will also enable us to continue to publish our newsletter - News from the Ouse - three times a year and distribute it to all households in the local parishes. We are very grateful to the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation for their generous support for this milestone in the LOHP's development. For more information, read our our press release about the new grant and appointment.
