Over the last couple of winters access to Broomscot Common has become almost impossible after any amount of rain, the entrance path becomes extremely waterlogged and muddy, which stopped all but the hardiest of Garboldisham residents from visiting the site.
It’s with thanks to local company Mervyn Lambert Plant Ltd and LOHP volunteers that access has been made possible this winter. Mervyn Lambert provided material to improve the path surface onto the common, while LOHPs practical conservation volunteers helped to spread it.
Working tirelessly our volunteers (only fuelled by cake) had all the holes and hollows filled and the path levelled, by lunchtime. Well done and thank you everyone.
